LOOK: Prince Harry’s Special Guest On His Royal Wedding, An African orphan he met in 2004

The Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was attended by 600 people, 200 of which are representatives from the various charities the Royals support around the world. But of these people, a young man stood out for his unlikely friendship with the group.

For his wedding this year, the new Duke of Sussex invited an African orphan he came to know a couple of years back. He was in South Africa to do charity work for the Mantsa’se Children’s Home in 2004 when he chanced upon a young Relebohile “Mutsu” Potsane. Like a work of fate, they hit it off as friends instantly.

An orphan, Mutsu, whose proper first name is Relebohile, lived in Mants’ase Children’s Home for Orphans just outside the country’s capital, Maseru. The two struck a tight bond, something that they would keep for years. The pair stayed in touch over the years, reunited on multiple occasions. Now was one of ten representatives from Harry’s charity Sentebale.

Along with Potsane were nine other Africans who represented Sentebale, a charity founded by Princes Harry himself. His co-founder, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, was also present at the special occasion.

The young Harry who first arrived in Lesotho in 2004 is now a grown man getting married. I’ve come here with all the wishes of Lesotho, I’m not here on my own behalf I’m here representing the entire nation who are so happy,”

Prince Seeiso of Lesotho said.

Meanwhile, supporters of the royal family were given another reason to love Prince Harry even more.
