In the recent PMPC Star Awards for Movies, the bubbly Alex Gonzaga regrets cracking a joke after she unintentionally offended some members of the award-giving body.
In the award ceremony, Alex Gonzaga somehow asked Luis Manzano how much did he pay to be named the Darling of the Press.
Alex Gonzaga then explained in an interview that she never wanted to harm anyone because that’s really the way she shows affection towards Luis Manzano.




“Kami ni Kuya Luis, kapag nagkikita kami, talagang pinakamasasamang maiisip mo, ‘yun ang aming affection sa isa’t isa. Nawala lang ako sa lugar, nakalimutan ko na it was an awards show so I apologized right away. I really love PMPC,” she said.
She also added that she felt glad that Luis was there for he helped her in explaining that she really meant no harm.
“Sabi ko kay Kuya Luis, ‘Kapag may mga awards, huwag ka na magpapakita sa akin kasi agad-agad, ang naiisip ko, bastusin ka.’ Pero siyempre I am so happy na Kuya Luis was there to help me. Siya din ang nag-explain sa mga press na it was really a joke. I meant no harm. May mga blunders lang talaga,” she said.

She also talked about the things that she learned from what had happened.




“Tahimik na lang. Pinaka-thankful ako na naintindihan naman ng ibang press. Hindi na rin masyadong lumaki kasi alam naman nila na biruan lang talaga at nagkamali lang talaga ng lugar.”
“I’ll just charge it to experience na we have to be careful. Ganun talaga, wala na akong magagawa kasi ganun talaga ang bibig ko, lalo na kapag nakikita ko si Kuya Luis,” she added.
Meanwhile, Luis also speaks up regarding the matter and admitted that it was a bit off and said: “Kami ni Alex, ganyan talaga kami maglokohan. We are even worse behind the camera. I completely understand the sentiments, especially the press and the people there na it was a bit off. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not justifying din naman. At the same time, ganun talaga kami maghiritan.”
