“In love, distance does not matter” may be an old saying but it is still very applicable to relationships nowadays because there are still a lot of people who are involved in a long distance relationship. For some, distance becomes the reason for a relationship to fail but for this couple, they just proved that distance is never an issue if two hearts are really in love.

A Canadian woman and a Pinoy man recently went viral online after netizens were amazed with the fact that the girl traveled all the way to the Philippines just to personally meet her boyfriend.
Their love story began with a simple friend request on Facebook back in 2009. What started out as just a friendly conversation later turned into an unexpected romance. The two never really met each other and just interacted online which led to the girl’s decision to take the risk and go all the way to her love’s native land.


The two eventually met at General Santos City airport as the man was based in that city.
However, the seemingly endless happiness that the two felt somehow came to an end when it came to a point where the girl has to return to Canada. Still, they continued on with their relationship and their love also flourished.

A year later, the two again met at Ninoy Aquino International Airport. Together, they flew all the way to General Santos City.

This time, it was no longer just a visit as the girl came all the way to the Philippines to tie the knot with the love of her life!
