Viral Photo of a Security Guard Who Does Not Have a Break Time

A security guard’s job is no easy feat. He/She is an employee of a private company that may come from a security agency to watch out for the establishment, properties, and as well as the people in the said company or people who have ill intentions such as robbery.
These security personnel do not stop at ensuring that their jobs are well-done. They make sure that the establishment, its belongings, and the people in them are safe at all times. Though it is understood that their job description is so ensure safety at all times, these security personnel also need their rest or even break times for their basic human needs such as eating or going to the bathroom. Needless to say, there has been an uproar coming from the online community with this picture of a security guard not getting a proper break time to eat his meal.



Not too long ago, a Facebook page called OFW Kalingawan shared a few photos and the story behind this of a security guard eating his lunch while standing up because of the alleged no break time at the establishment that he was working for. The security guard was not named in the Facebook post but the said establishment that he was working for was Cebuana Place. The netizen who posted the viral photo said that it made them tear up to see the situation of the security guard. The netizen said that they felt sorry for the plight of the security guard and made them think that why could the management not give him a proper break time even just for 15 minutes to enjoy his meal. The netizen also pointed that it’s sad to think that the security guard in the photo is not the only one experiencing this kind of treatment. Before the concerned netizen left the establishment, they gave the security guard extra money to buy food. The guard’s face lit up and said his thanks to the netizen.
